Handcrafted conservatories built with materials of enduring distinction

Materials Used

Only the finest, most enduring materials are permitted to bear the Malbrook name. We refuse to compromise on provenance, performance or beauty — every component is chosen for its ability to age gracefully and enhance the architectural integrity of England’s finest period homes.

Our structural frames are crafted exclusively from slow-grown, quarter-sawn hardwoods — primarily prime European oak and certified Accoya® — selected for exceptional stability, natural resistance to movement, and a depth of figure that deepens with time. Every piece is hand-graded in our workshop before a single cut is made.

Glazing is never an afterthought. We specify slim, high-performance double or triple-glazed units with warm-edge technology, argon fill and low-E coatings, set into traditionally profiled timber sections that maintain authentic sightlines while achieving modern thermal standards.

Roofs combine traditional hand-dressed natural slate or hand-made clay tiles with concealed modern membranes, or — where the architecture demands complete transparency — structurally bonded glass systems capable of spanning large areas without visible rafters.

Ironmongery is forged by British master blacksmiths to our own patterns, finished in beeswax or aged bronze. Every hinge, stay and handle is made to last centuries, not decades — because a Malbrook conservatory is built to become part of your home’s history.
